Dr. Maggi Murdock
Maggi Maier Murdock is a native of Wyoming. She received her bachelor’s degree from Creighton University in Political Science in 1970 and her Ph.D. from Tufts University in Political Science in 1978.
Maggi began her academic career at the University of Wyoming in 1975 and served as a faculty member in the Department of Political Science and adjunct faculty in the Department of Criminal Justice from 1975 to 2017. She served as Dean of the University of Wyoming branch campus (UW-Casper), Dean of the UW Outreach School, UW Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and UW Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. She retired from the University of Wyoming in August 2017 as Professor Emerita.
Maggi has been active in local and state organizations, as well as political science and distance education professional organizations, throughout her career. She served on the Wyoming Humanities Council from 1988 – 1993, serving as president from 1991-1992, and became a board member again in 2019. She currently serves as chair of the Wyoming Public Media Public Advisory Council.
Idel Enriquez

Idel Enriquez was born and raised in Mexico, where his passion for working with individuals to help them find their purpose in life began. With a strong dedication to supporting minority groups, Idel was honored with the MFP (Minority Fellowship Program) through NBCC in 2023 for his high motivation and commitment to advocating for marginalized communities.
Idel received a degree in Science from the Instituto Tecnológico de Minatitlán and has since pursued a career in counseling, where he focuses on empowering individuals to discover their strengths and navigate the challenges they face. His personal and professional journey has been shaped by his deep commitment to fostering inclusive environments where everyone, especially minority groups, can thrive.
Since 2021, Idel has worked as a Bilingual Specialist in Natrona County School District in Casper, Wyoming, where he has been instrumental in helping the Latino population bridge the gap in the educational system. Through his work, he has supported Latino families in understanding and navigating the educational system, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to succeed. Currently, Idel is expanding his expertise as a School Counselor Intern, where he continues to serve and advocate for students, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
Idel is driven by the belief that everyone has the potential to find purpose and fulfillment, and he is passionate about helping others overcome adversity. He is honored to serve as the commencement speaker for the 2025 graduation ceremony and looks forward to celebrating the achievements of the graduating class.
